Welcome to the new and improved Ava Styles Blog! While spending most of my time at home, I made a commitment to learn something new, which involved overhauling my old blog. It took weeks to learn website design, but I stuck with it and couldn’t be happier with the result! If you are new to my page, let me introduce myself.
First, thank you for reading (and hopefully, subscribing!). My name is Ava, and I am a freelance writer, lifestyle blogger, and social media influencer. While I enjoy traveling, most of my posts are shared with you from my hometown of Charleston, West Virginia (“the other Charleston”). I spend a lot of time on affiliate marketing projects in addition to working part-time as a sales associate at a local boutique.
My posts have almost always captured the timeless style of Northern prep apparel and classic accessories. I try to edit my closet choices to pieces that will last as long as I take proper care of them. I am partial to looks that pull from the 1950s and 1960s– flattering dresses, well-cut pants, reliable coats, slippers and loafers, and functional handbags. Of course, I like to have fun with colors that are representative of my favorite destinations in the South. However, I keep returning to New York, where I load up on black, navy, tan, and bright white items. These are the staples of my wardrobe, which you’ll see here.
Even though all of our options and opportunities have been cut down for several months, I am looking forward to what’s ahead! New clothes make all of us feel better, but sometimes a new attitude is what makes us stand out. Take care, and I hope to find you here again soon.
