My sister and I are taking all of our classes online this semester. Since we’re both going to be working and studying from home, we needed extra space and added privacy for Zoom calls and videos. My parents gave up their downstairs office so we could have a better place to work, and we have had a lot of fun redecorating it!

We have no way of knowing if this is a temporary situation, so I chose décor that was less expensive and easier to use in other areas of our house. I needed a writing desk, a storage unit, brighter lighting, and a large clock to keep ourselves on time. I also ordered a large desktop calendar and a collection of notebooks by Mead Cambridge for organization.
All of our new office items were purchased from Target and Home Goods. We chose a gray, yellow, black, and white color theme, and we used gold accents to make the room feel more modern. I really love the accent wallpaper in gold speckle by Opal House! It’s peel-and-stick, which means it can be changed or removed easily.

This isn’t how we wanted our school year to begin, but at least my workspace makes up for some of that disappointment. I wish all of you a safe return to work or to school, wherever and whenever that may be. Take care!
