I’m fortunate to live in a place that offers wide open spaces in every direction. I’ve taken that “social distance” for granted, but now I see the value in being able to get away from everything while still staying at home.

One of my favorite places to go is Capitol Market, which is Charleston’s indoor/outdoor farm stand. In the fall, the stalls are full of pumpkins and mums. In the winter, the outdoor area becomes a Christmas tree farm. In the spring and summer, though, the area is packed with beautiful flowers, fruits, and vegetables.
When I visit these places, I tend to dress up, because it feels like a special occasion to be able to get out of the house after months of being inside. I love wearing Kiel James Patrick’s shift dresses, which are great for the shore or the store!

Enjoy some of my recent pictures from a morning at the farm stand and J.Q. Dickinson Salt Works. Simple things really are the prettiest.
