Hi, everyone! February has already turned out to be an exciting month with travels to New York City to attend the College Fashionista Creators Loft! I am so grateful for this opportunity, especially being able to attend my first social media event during New York Fashion Week. Now that I have had time to unpack and process this busy weekend, I wanted to share some highlights with you. I wrote a blog post last month about being a member of College Fashionista, which you can read here.
Day One: I caught a 5:00 a.m. flight from Charleston, West Virginia to New York City the day before the Creators Loft began. I had a full day in the city, which I spent shopping, sightseeing, and settling in!
First stop: A big breakfast at Junior’s Cheesecake in Times Square!

I walked off breakfast with some shopping! I love this Valentine’s Day collection by Kate Spade!

I also stopped by Hill House and found the cutest dresses for spring!

I was so happy to come across the Ralph’s Coffee stand near Rockefeller Center!

Then, I stopped by Saks Fifth Avenue and picked up a little Valentine’s Day gift for myself!

After I got settled into my hotel room and unpacked for the weekend, I got dressed up for dinner! I wore this beautiful red halter dress by Lucy Paris, which was perfect for a night out in the city. You can shop similar looks here.

Day Two: The first day of the Creators Loft! I wore this fun feathered top by Lucy Paris, along with a classic black blazer and pantsuit by Banana Republic, which I paired with these beautiful heels from Nina Shoes. You can shop this look here.

I sat in the audience for my first seminar of the day which included Rachel Liverman, the CEO of Glow Bar, a company that specializes in skincare and facials. She spoke on her experiences of building her own brand and expanding her career in the beauty industry.

I was also able to sit front row to listen to Sam Harper, founder of Harper Collective, share her experiences as a fashion designer. She mentioned that she has designed clothes worn by Kylie Jenner, Addison Ray, and some of Kendall Jenner’s best friends.

I left my mark on this huge chalkboard at the Creators Loft. Can you find my Instagram handle?

I also stopped by the Creator’s Cafe and snagged so many freebies!

Day Three: The final day of the Creators Loft was Kate Spade Day! I wore this gorgeous Kate Spade dress, along with simple black heels from Nina Shoes and a vintage Kate Spade handbag. I had to dress for the occasion! You can shop my look here.

Kate Spade had its own Bag Bar at the Loft, which allowed people to borrow a bag for a day! I picked up this beautiful Barbie pink bag to wear with my outfit!

I was so happy to meet Norah Murphy, Senior Influencing Marketing Manager at Who What Wear, and Mary Kate Flock, Marketing Manager for Creators at Amazon. They led a seminar on careers in retail marketing and shared tips on how to land a dream job after college.

I also attended another seminar hosted by Kate Spade on the topic of social media and its effect on mental health. I learned how important it is to take a break from the internet from time to time, even if it is your source of income.

I ended the day by running into a blogger I have followed since high school… Emily O and Bows!

I am so grateful for the opportunities to learn through the programming provided by Her Campus Media. If you have followed my blog since my first posts in high school, or you have recently subscribed, I am also very thankful for your support! I hope to continue sharing quality content that will afford more invitations like this.
See you soon with a new post!
