As a lifelong West Virginian, I am partial to our state’s colors of navy blue and old gold. The combination works well no matter what the outfit consists of, but it really pops in the form of a yellow rain jacket.

My newest investment is a KJP “Old Salt” rain jacket that is lined in a vintage green whale print. The raincoat is made for all types of weather, and it is cut for women in a classic fit. While I normally wear a size small, I ordered a ladies’ size medium to give extra room for sweaters and sweatshirts in cooler weather.
I’ve paired my jacket with a KJP polo-style dress and my favorite Hunter wellie boots. The hood is deep enough to leave the umbrella in the car, and the drawstrings pull the jacket in for a more tailored look. The outer material is so soft that it doesn’t feel like rain gear!

Kiel James Patrick is known for his New England-nautical apparel, but I think his new rain jacket is perfect for the hills!
